Light and Shadow
All photos in this assignment were shot on 35 mm. film. The photos were taken at two places: Henry M. Gunn High School and the Palo Alto Baylands.
Gunn High School is a place I go almost every day, and this assignment made me look for unique patterns in light and shadow that I don't see regularly.
The Baylands are a place that I really enjoy biking. I went there at dusk with my father to capture the long shadows created by plants, my bike, and even myself.
The header photo is the contact sheet of all the photos I took.
Both photos above and to the left were taken at a dry lakebed in the Baylands. Although the phots may seem very different, they were only taken about 15 feet away from each other. I really like the long shadows cast by the bikes in the photo above. The contrast of the plants and sand in the photo on the left stand out.
