This was an assignment in Advanced Photography. The point of the assignment was to turn something common into artwork. While taking the photos, I incorporated elements of light and shadow, and used lines, both straight and curved, to create the photos.
The cover photo was taken on pavement outside of a classroom. The shadow and crack divide the photo into four portions.
The photo above puts emphasis on the two thick lines, which divide the photo into four portions. Each portion has a different texture and color, and the cracks in the bottom corners make them unique.
The photo to the right focuses on one big crack. I like how it creates movement in the picture from the red bench to the staircase.
